Bathroom Design, Bellingen NSW

The starting point for this project was the original checkerboard glass window. Its simple geometric pattern quietly influenced the design, leading to a bathroom built around clean lines, subtle repetition and a restrained palette of natural materials.

Softly speckled tiles wrap the room from floor to wall, creating a sense of continuity and calm. Warm timber joinery adds depth and contrast, while brushed nickel fittings and simple forms keep the overall feel understated.

Rather than relying on bold colours or statement features, this bathroom finds its character in texture, proportion and light. The result is a space that feels relaxed, grounded and timeless, with a warmth that reveals itself gradually over time.

A bathroom where texture takes the lead.
