Hi, I’m Vera Duerinckx.
Based in Urunga on the Mid North Coast of NSW, I’m the interior designer behind Colour Craft Design Studio.
Making things and experimenting with colour and pattern started early. As a child, I potato stamped my bedroom walls, made lampshades and designed jewellery to sell at school. Looking back, the signs were probably there.
That interest led me to study textile design at HfBK in Hamburg and later interior design at IDI. The combination continues to shape how I work, bringing together visual creativity, practical planning and close attention to detail.
MY APPROACH
I don’t work to a formula or repeat the same look from one project to the next.
Something a little different might be an unusual colour combination, a vintage light, a material with visible texture or finding a new use for something you already own.
Creative ideas always sit alongside practical considerations, because a home still needs to work well for everyday life.

“Wanting to renovate our house we were unclear of which way to go and engaged Vera to create an overall vision for us. She listened carefully, asked all the right questions and provided us with a bespoke colour palette and a unique theme that my partner and I both love. A fantastic experience all the way.”
